The Crousers in Africa

I received an email message from a mother in South Africa who was helping her son do a family history project for school. They had looked on the internet for information and found the Crouser Family Home Page.

She said that several generations earlier some Crousers had gone to Zimbabwe as mercenaries, and apparently her husband is a descendant of one of them.

I have no further information about these Crousers but would sure love to know more. Can anyone tell me what kind of records are available in Zimbabwe and South Africa? Where can I access them?
