Training Your Guinea Pig

Training your guinea pig is practically the same as training your dog or any other pet but your guinea pig must know you and be very comfortable with you.

You try to get them to do something or hold them in a certain spot and when they do it well you give them a little piece of a carrot or whatever their favourite treat is.

This page is mainly about different ideas of tricks you can teach your guinea pig to do.

1. Letting them know when they are receiving a treat

2. Playing dead

3. Running in circles

4. Shaking paw (this is hard to teach your guinea pig so do not try it unless the guinea pig knows you and can trust you.)

5. Following you around the house
