A bit about usCarey is from Advance, NC and LeAnn is from Norris, TN. Carey attended North Carolina State and LeAnn attended The University of Tennessee. When we graduated in 1990 we both joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, however we didn't meet until 1994 when we were part of a short term (1 year) team helping to start a Campus Crusade ministry in Zagreb. We both enjoyed our time in Croatia and decided to return for a longer period of time (7-10 years). We were married in 1997 and now have 2 children. Lydia was born in 1999 and Logan in 2001.Carey's job is Director of Special Projects. This includes a broad variety of responsibilities, including relations with other Christian organizations, churches, and Croatian officials with whom contact is required for holding meetings (evangelistic outreaches) and presentations, such as showings of the Jesus film. More broadly, Carey also manages the administration of visiting church teams and student summer projects from the US who provide short-term manpower in student and community evangelism. Recent projects have expanded his resposibilities to include desktop publishing, design and maintenance of our evangelistic web page and the development of our ministry materials for use in Bosnia/Hercegovina. LeAnn is the consultant for the women's ministry throughout Croatia and has also taken responsibility to oversee national staff training and development. She plans a quarterly evangelistic newsletter for the Zagreb and Split student ministries and is working with Carey to develop evangelistic strategies to reach university students on campuses where we currently have no ministry presence.
