Special Projects Progress ReportTime to Plan for the Summer!
For the past 3 years, we have enjoyed some great times with Christian and non-Christian students at our summer English language workshop in Zadar. Last year was Carey's first time to direct the project and we were very encouraged to see how God used the week's events!
Throughout the first several days, we provided some solid biblical teaching and training in evangelism and discipleship for the Christian students involved in our minstry. We  were also able to build vision and expectations for the week as we awaited the arrival of the non-Christian students who were coming for the English language workshop. One of our biggest goals for the week, was to really have a chance to open up with students and establish some rapport so that we might seek further opportunities to discuss spiritual things and share Christ. We are so grateful that God allowed us to come away with those students whom He had prepared and that we were able to share our lives and relationship with Christ.
 Our plans and prayers for this year are similar, though in some ways we have to start from scratch to come up with materials and timely articles for reading and discussion. It's a challenge for sure -- and makes us appreciate what teachers have to do on a regular basis!!! Please pray, first of all, for Carey as he begins the initial preparations. The details of housing, finances, personnell & materials are just now starting to become a little more defined and there's a lot to be done between now and July.
Even more importantly, we're praying for the students who may attend. We're asking God  to use this year's summer project and workshop to solidify Christian students' commitment to the Lord and to the distinctives of Campus Crusade. We're also praying for the non-Christian students who will come for the English workshop portion, that the workshop leaders would connect well with them in a fun, relaxed environment and that there would be very natural opportunities to pursue spiritual discussions.
