John Henry Carraway
[1847-1934]

John Henry Carraway of Amite County, Mississippi was the son of Adam Carraway, Jr. and Judia Ann Coleman. His mother, oldest brother and little sister died when he was quite young, and it is said he was raised by slaves and was quite spoiled.

John Henry Carraway married three times and was the father of 21 children. I descend from his second wife, Eliza Jane Wilson, daughter of John Alexander Wilson and Mary Ann Teston.

He is buried at East Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty, Amite County, Mississippi.
