THE GREAET SHAKING IS STARTING

Introduction
In His word, God declares that in these last days, He will shake the heavens and the earth, the land and the sea (Haggai 2:6-9; Hebrews 12:26-29). This is called the Great Shaking. This Great Shaking as prophesied by God is coming and is starting.

Every believer needs to be prepared to face the cahllenges and dangers encountered during this great upheaval of the world's systems. Every believer needs to take advantage of this period to build God's kingdom and bring in the harvest.

If we do not follow God's directions, we will be swept away with the world as God shake its systems. This is not the season to fear, but to rejoice, for God wants to glorify Himself through His people, the Church, at this hour.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In a little while I will once more shake the HEAVENS and the EARTH, the SEA and the DRY LAND. I will shake ALL NATIONS, and the desire [wealth, treasures] of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory," says the LORD Almighty. "The silver is mine and the gold is mine," declares the LORD Almighty. "The glory of the present house will be greater than the glory of the former house," says the LORD Almighty. "And in this place I will grant peace," delares the LORD Almighty.
(Haggai 2:6-9)

At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens." The word "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken -- that is, created things -- so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving A KINGDON THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN, let us be thankful, and so worhsip God acceptable with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
(Hebrews 12:26-29)

From the above scripture texts, the following basic truths must be known about the Great Shaking in order that we may prepare ourselves in the days ahead:

The Great Shaking is a judgement of God on the whole world and its systems.
The wealth of the world will come into the House of God.
God's glory will fill the House fo God as never before.
Only in the House of God will there be peace.
We must worship God with reverence and awe, or we will be consumed by His anger.

1. The Great Shaking is a judgement of God on the whole world and its systems.
God is about to shake the whole world as it has never been shaken before. The shaking will affect every area of creation, including the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. No area will be untouched by God. The natural realm as well as the spirit realm will be shaken.

(a) World systems that will be shaken
In this shaking, God is judging all the man-made systems and cause their downfall, including the governmental, religious, and commercial systems. Everything in which we ahve put out trust, other than God, will be shaken and fall.

All governments that rule unrighteously will be judged and fall (Isaiah 1:1-17). These unrighteous governments can be communist, democratic, martial-rule, socialist, monarchy-type, etc.

All religious systems that are idolatous will have their powerlessness exposed (1 Kings 18:16-39; Isaiah 2:6-11, 19-21). The false gods will be unable to save their followers in time of crisis (Exodus 7:1-11:10).

All commercial systems based on unrighteous measures and weights, on greed and on deception, will collapse (Proverbs 20:10; Isaiah 4:8-15). Financial systems will collapse. Stock markets will tumble. Currency will devalue. Food supply will be disrupted and difficult to obtain.

(b)Agents of God's shaking
The Great Shaking will be a result of many events (man-made, natural and supernatural) that will take place to trigger world upheaval.

These include:
The Millenium Bug or the Y2K bug (A computer problem that will bring chaos on the 1 January 2000).
The may cause a disruption to all financial institutions, transportation systems, communication systems, electrical systems, etc. Some financial consultants say that this in turn may lead to chaos, food shortages, currency devaluation, fall of stock markets.

False christs and false prophets (Matthew 24:4-5,11,23-24; Revelation 6:1-2).
They will deceive many, including believers, into following after false gods, and after false security and answers, in times of crisis.

Wars & rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6-7; Revelation 6:3-4).
A surge in wars between nations over territory, ideology, food, water and minerals will occur. Material, emotional and physical hardship will follow for everyone.

Famine (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:5-6).
This is caused by unnatual weather patterns, such as by heatwaves, coldwaves, floods, drought, El Nino, La Nino, etc.

Untimely deaths (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:7-8.12).
These are caused by wars, famine, diseases and pestilences, and earthquakes. Earthquakes have been increasing in number every decade this century. New incurable fast-spreading diseases will emerge and strike many in the years ahead (E.g. Ebola virus, Taiwanese enterovirus, AIDS virus).

2. The wealth of the world will come into the house of God.
As God shakes the world and all its systems, the wealth of the world will come into the Church, the House of God (Haggai 2:7-8; Isaiah 60:1,3,5). The silver and gold of the world belongs to God and will be transferred into His house.

I will sake all nations, and the DESIRE [WEALTH, TREASURES] of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory," says the LORD Almighty. "The SILVER is mine and the GOLD is mine," declares the LORD Almight.
(Haggai 2:7-8)

Arise, shine, for your light has come,


and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
Nations will come to your light,

and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
Then you will look and be radiant,

your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the WEALTH on the seas will be brought to you,

to you the RICHES of the nations will come.
(Isaiah 60:1,3,5)

In the Old Teatament, the gold and silver of the world were transferred into the hands of the people of God to build God's house, that is, the Tabernacle and the Temple of Solomon (Exodus 12:35-36; 25:1-8; 35:4-9; 1 Chronicles 29:1-19). Likewise, in the New Testament, the wealth of the nations will be transferred into God's house to build God's spiritual house (His people). The silver and gold of the nations will be used for the preaching of the Good News to all tribes and tongues till every nation has received the Good News (Matthew 24:14).

The transfer of wealth from the world into the Church will occur through many ways. Firstly, many will come into God's kingdom in these last days and bring their wealth with them (Isaiah 60:1,5). Secondly, many believers will survive the Great Shaking with God's wisdom and will emerge richer after the Great Shaking. Thirdly, many unbelievers will also give generously to the Church as they see God's power and glory upon His people (Exodus 12:35-36; Isaiah 60:1-5).

3. God's glory will fill the house of God as never before.

God declares that His glory, in other words, His manifested presence, power ad love, will fill His house (His people, the Church) as never before (Haggai 2:6-9). In other words, God will do extraordinary miracles in the last days, even in the midst of the Great Shaking.

God's people will be supernaturally protected by fire and by cloud. (Exodus 14:1-20). God will supernaturally heal the incurable (John 14:2). God will supernaturally provide food for His people (Matthew 14:13-21; John 14:12). For a time, God will destroy all those who seek to harm His people.

The manifestation of God's overwhelming glory in His Church will draw kings and nations into God's house (Isaiah 60:1-3,5). They will bring their gold and silver with them to honor God.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desire [wealth, treasure] of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with GLORY," says the LORD Almighty.

Arise, shine, for your LIGHT has come,


and the GLORY of the LORD rises upon you.
Nations will come to your light,

See, darkness covers the earth

and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the LORD rises upon you

and His GLORY appears over you.
Then you will look and be radiant,

your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the WEALTH on the seas will be brought to you,

4. Only in the house of God will there be peace.
When the Great Shaking begins, God is out only refuge. Only in Him alone, and not man, will we find peace, security, joy, protection and supply (Haggai 2:9; Hebrews 12:28). Since only God and His kingdom cannot be shaken, there will be no escape for those outside the kingdom of God.

"The glory of the present house will be greater than the glory of the former house," says the LORD Almighty. "And in this place I will grant PEACE," declares the LORD Almighty.
(Haggai 2:6-9)

Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse us from our sin and give us eternal life. Only through the blood of Jesus can we gain access into God's kingdom and his riches - wisdom, revelation, healing, protection, guidance, supply, etc.

5. We must worship God with reverence and awe, or we will be consumed by His anger.
To prepare ourselves for the Great Shaking, we must worship God acceptably with reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:29). We must love Him with all our soul, heart, mind and strength, and no longer put God second or last (Matthew 22:37-38).

As we walk close to God and seek His kingdom first, He will teach us from His word and by His Spirit, so that we are prepared to face the Great Shaking and emerge as a glorious and victorious Church. Otherwise, we will be swept away together with the people of the world by the consuming fire of God.
