Boston Terrier Webring Homepage

This is the main page for the Boston Terrier Ring. This ring, started in March 1997, is made up of homepages of Boston Terriers all over the net. The purpose of the ring is to link our Boston Terrier pages and make it easy to travel through our cyber community. If you are interested in joining or would like to jump to a random site in the ring, see below. The inspiration for this Ring comes from the WebRing by Sage.

How to join the ring

Here are the steps that need to be followed to join the Boston Terrier Ring. Please follow them closely to preserve the integrity of the ring!

• Copy the graphics or use a graphic of your own boston terrier, just please keep it to approximately the same size or smaller if possible.

DO NOT reference them off someone else's server unless you have asked them for permission first!

• Add the links below to the page you have registered. The purpose of the Boston Terrier Ring is to link Boston Terrier pages together not to force people to go through many pages or many screens before they can proceed. And if your page has a lot of graphics you would do very well by making a warning page. Remember that it is a lot nicer to invite people into your home that to force them to spend a lot of time they consider a waste.
• If you put it on a page with with frames, please remember to add target="_top" to all your references in order to remove the frames before the viewer proceeds.
• If you move your page or change your email address, remember to change that in the Boston Terrier database too. Do not mail the changes to the ringmaster, but do it yourself. In the mail you recieved when you entered the ring it is described how to do it.

• Change the e-mail address and name so that it is your own.
• Make sure the fragment points to images on your own site. The Boston Terrier Ring link, however, should still point to http://www.geocities.com/heartland/hills/7383
• Fill out the below form to register your site. Note that this does not insert you in the ring; it simply makes your page known to the Boston Terrier Ring program and gives you a Site ID Number. The actual insertion is done later.

  Passphrase: (The passphrase allows you to later add others to the ring. Do not forget it!
  
• Change the three references to http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring (one on the romeo002.jpg image and the other three a bit further down) so that the id= is followed by your Site ID number. For example, if your site ID is 115, the href should be something like

• E-mail the Ringmaster and ask me to add you to the ring. Be sure to include your Site ID Number. I will want to look at your page to make sure it is worthy of addition and make sure the Boston Terrier Ring HTML fragment on your page is okay.
• After checking out your page, the Ringmaster will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the ring. I will then e-mail you telling you that you have been added.
• That is it! You should now be able to navigate the entire ring until to make it back to your own page, although it may take a while.
