Ebenezer Bostwick (1753-1840), 1777, born in New Milford, Connecticut, enlisted from New Milford in the Connecticut militia under Capt. Elizer Warren's company, Col. Heman Swift's regiment, and served as sergeant, 1780, to the close of the war. He was in camp at Valley Forge, fought at Monmouth, Elizabethtown, Block House and Stony Point. He was placed on the pension roll,1818. He moved to Rootstown, Ohio, where he died at eighty-seven.
