Do not quickly dismiss everlasting life on a paradise earth as a mere dream. Instead, look at the way the human body is made. It is designed to taste, hear, smell, see and feel. There is so much on the earth that delights these senses--delicious food, pleasant birdsong, fragrant flowers, beautiful scenery, delightful companionship! And, our amazing brain is far more than a supercomputer, for it enables us to appreciate and enjoy all such things. Do you think that our Creator wants us to die and lose all of this? Would it not be more reasonable to conclude that he wants us to live happily and enjoy life forever?*

Notice these Bible verses that indicate we have this hope:

Jesus spoke of a future paradise:
Luke 23:43 "You will be with me in Paradise"

Did you know that the word "Paradise" means garden or park? Can you picture the earth as a global garden or park? That has been God's original purpose for this earth since the beginning.(See Genesis 1:28)

Isaiah 35:5,6 At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. At that time the lame will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness."

Revelation 21:3,4 God himself will be with [mankind]. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

Sounds like "heaven" you may be thinking. However, all of these adverse conditions have existed on earth since Adam and Eve sinned against God. There is no need to remove this type of suffering from heaven, so this is speaking about earth's future. Remember--Jesus said "the meek shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5) Jesus Christ's perfect sacrifice atoned for (or covered over) Adam's sin which we have inherited. And we now have the assured hope that soon, under Jehovah God's heavenly kingdom, with Christ as King, this earth will be restored to the way God originally had intended it--clean, beautiful, and inhabited by people who recognize him as the Creator, and the one who deserves our worship.
