Who is the Christopher Cannatella Family? (click a name for a pic!)

In 1906, Luciano Cannatella (my great grandfather) left his home in Polizzi Generosa, Provincia Di Palermo, Sicilia to start a new life in the United States. He started our family on Elizabeth Street in New York's "Little Italy", where he was in business setting up and supplying fruit and vegetable vendors in the city.

Christopher J. Cannatella (author) is a Communications Network Developer and a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor teaching the Cisco certification curriculum at Burlington County College in New Jersey. (...Computer networking for those not familiar with Cisco.) If you ever considered a rewarding career in the field of computers, consider the Cisco Networking Academy Program. There are are currently 452,784 students studying in 10,244 academies in 152 different countries. And the certifications are portable WORLDWIDE! Chris also serves as Fire Police Captain in Medford, New Jersey, located about 30 minutes east of Philadelphia, in the Pinelands National Reserve. Click here to see my three great kids! Ron (son, 27) works in the field of architecture. He has 2 wonderful children, Sydney and Zachary.

Sydney Elizabeth Cannatella (granddaughter, 6) is now 6 years old. She's very inquisitive and smart as a whip! And she's very excited because she's now a new big sister to her new brother Zachary!!

Zachary Thomas Cannatella (grandson, 3) is now 3 years old. There's an unconfirmed rumor that he has already been offered a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles! Here's another picture. By the way, the name Zachary is of Hebrew origin. It is a variant of Zechariah which means "Yahweh Remembers". It is a popular biblical name shared by no fewer than twenty-nine Old Testament characters, including the author of the Old Testament book by the same name.

Need a new car? Domenic (son, 25) earned the Salesman of the Month for Burns Honda in Marlton, NJ! Congratulations Dom! He has relocated to the New Jersey Shore (Cape May Area) and is working for the same dealership there. Call Dom if you want to check out a new Honda Hybrid (or any other Honda). He'll sell you one no matter where you live! He has also begun to work as a real estate agent selling and renting homes at the shore and other New Jersey locations. Call him to list or buy! But most importantly right now, Dom and Alicia are expecting a son to be born on February 12, 2008 (today)! Stay tuned for new baby pics right here!!!

Christina (Nina) (daughter, 24) was married to James Sickels on May 27, 2006! Congratulations Nina!

Giocchino (Jack) Cannatella (center in pic), is my dad. We all thought he'd never leave Queens, New York. For years he lived in the same buildings where I lived as a child. But in the Summer of 2002 he surprised us all and retired early to live in the fresh air of the New York State mountains! Perhaps due to the air pollution in NY City, dad was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2005. He has recently undergone extensive chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. ...Thanks to his brother Vincent Cannatella, who was a match! And thanks to the skilled doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center! But most of all, thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Master Healer, who has been watching over dad!!! UPDATE: As of September 26, 2007, dad is progressing nicely. Please continue to pray that his blood counts return to safe levels.

Rosemary Addiego Roberts is my mom. She has been the "web-surfin' nanny", spending hours every day cruising cyberspace and sending many e-mails to us all! Mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2003. We buried her 4 days later on her 64th birthday. Mom had confounded the doctors by remaining alive and alert - even with all the pain killers! They attributed it to her constitution (will to live). We will all miss her.Click here for her obituary.
