HERE ARE SOME OF MY QUILTS....ENJOY!!

The first quilt made in the Tulalip cabin quilting room and dedicated to the cabin

A quilt for Katie and Maria, January, 1999. The blocks are a Sawtooth Scar alternating with a Road to Jericho, done in reproduction fabrics

Nasha's quilt was presented to Lisa and Nasha on Sept 26, 1998 to celebrate their graduation from the Boring Oregon Campus of Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. There is a machine appliqued portrait of a laughing Nasha in the center of the quilt.

Nancy's Jewels.

This quilt was made from pieces exchanged in a swap with quilters on the AOL quilting forum. Each swapper cut all of the pattern pieces out in their favorite jewel toned fabrics and complete sets of pieces in dark, medium and light shades were exchanged. The swap was organized by Jean Ann Eitel, the editor of Quilt Magazine. I had great fun "mix and matching" the sets to come up with this wonderful scrappy variety of blocks. The block used is Northumberland Star

MUSIC "Fur ELISE"

The background fabric in this quilt has a musical motif, with the names of various composers, so it seemed just right for a quilt for Elise The block is a variable star, my favorite block....found in many of my quilts.

STILLI'S QUILT....THIS IS THE QUILT I MADE IN HONOR OF STILLI'S GRADUATION FROM GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND. The center block is a drawing on fabric of a golden retriever. The quilt was presented to Stilli and to her handler at graduation.

PIRATE'S QUILT....THIS IS PIRATE'S GRADUATION QUILT
This quilt was presented to Pie and Glen at graduation from Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. The center block is a photo transfer copy of a picture of Pirate, and the surrounding blocks are all made in bold and black colors....fitting for a "Pirate"!!

This is a quilt for my brother, Frank. He liked Amish style quilts "that looked like real quiltsto him. The block is the single wedding ring quilt and the fabrics are bright but scrappy. The quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted.

Here is a detail from the same quilt

A COLLEGE GRADUATION QUILT FOR MY DAUGHTER ELISE
Elise requested that the pattern used "look just like my sweater!" a sweater knit with a triple Irish Chain on the front. I found fabrics in the same colors, so Elise now has both quilt and sweater, made by Mom! The plain muslin blocks are hand quilted with a celtic pattern.

DETAIL FROMA COLLEGE GRADUATION QUILT FOR MY DAUGHTER KATE
Katie's request was for a scrap quilt with fabrics she remembered from childhood and fortunately I still had some scraps of fabrics leftover from clothing made for the girls when they were little. These are found in the quilt along with many other scraps in bright primary colors, which remind me of Kate's love of children. The block is called Maltese cross but it reminds me of a double wedding ring, even thought all the edges are straight, not curved.

QUILT MADE FOR GRANDMA FAYE
The center of the quilt is an embroidered "family tree" with signatures of all the children and grandchildren in the Rosenblum family (at the time). The block is "Hovering Hawk- a variable star variant

QUILT MADE FOR GRANDPA JIM
This quilt is an album or signature quilt. The central muslin patch in each block has quotations handwritten on it by all the members of the Rosenblum/Lane/Reinfeld/Factor family in honor of "Grandpa Jim"

QUILT MADE FOR GRAMMY JAN
The block is the Ocean Waves block and the quilt is in shades of mom's favorite color, turquoise!

SPRING BOUQUET WALL QUILT FOR KATE, USING THE WATERCOLOR QUILT TECHNIQUE
I took a class at In The Beginning fabric shop from Donna Slusser and Pat Magret, the authors of "Watercolor Quilts" and "Watercolor Impressions" and started this wall hanging.

SCRAPPY QUILT IN SHADES OF BLUE AND GREEN
This scrap quilt was made using the Cinderella block pattern which i happened upon in a Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. It gave me the opportunity to use the many green and blue scraps in my fabric collection!!

MARK'S QUILT-VARIABLE STAR-ROAD TO CALIFORNIA
I love the quilts of Marsha McCloskey, and have taken several classes from her. A quilt similar to this one is found in her book, "Variable Star Quilts", now reprinted in a Dover edition. In navy blue and burgandy and brown it seemed just the right pattern for Mark.

This child's quilt was made for my niece, Julia Chun Sheng Brenner-Brewer, whose Chinese name means Precious Spring. This provided a wonderful theme for the sampler blocks: spring flowers and birds and umbrellas.
