Terriers aren't know as the perfect obedience dogs, but I do work on formal obedience in my spare time. It is definitely not my favorite thing. I'm sure that my attitude is exactly why my dogs don't favor it either.
Some Border Terriers are doing very well in obedience and with the advent of clicker training are very enthusiastic about the sport. The new Rally Obedience is opening the sport to even more excitement. This is a sport that can make you very proud of your dog. Here are some links to good obedience sites:
