Fall! Now there's something to reflect on!! The second time of the year when one feels like accomplishing things!...putting up veggies against the coming winter...giving the house that last airing out...battening down the hatches! Life in the snow-lands is like this :o)

  In my case, a young girls heart also turns to thought of QUILTING each fall (unlike the other three seasons, when I think about quilting??) ....in the fall, you can imagine sitting in the evenings with a quilt on your lap, either for warmth, or for working on...you can picture beds soon to be heaped high with quilts...fall is just GOOD for this!

  This particular fall, I find myself at a crossroads...it's been pointed out to me that I have stood at this same crossroad for a very long time, actually! Where do I go with all of this quilting stuff? Do I  join the ranks of those that make a living with their quiltiness? or  Do I continue to go as I have been going?  Is it any wonder, that I fall back on my all time favorite poem, by Robert Frost..The Road Not Taken??

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I have always seemed to travel this road less traveled, and perhaps, my quilting shall take me there again!
