Hi and welcome. Well, the new millineum is here (well not really but why go into that now) and my little home has been given the once over by several of my friends. They seem to think it's pretty good (for a non computer type like me). I still feel the best thing about having a personal website is that I get to practice computer techniques and home page construction. As each new year approaches I make a list of all the things I hope to accomplish. Number one on my list this time was making a great homepage (clsely followed by getting in shape, yeah right
1999 was really good to me even though it got off to a rocky beginning. I have made myself several promises that little by little I'm keeping. I fulfilled a dream I've had for several years. As I told you I have a fascination with things spanish. The language, the food, but most of all the music. My favorite songs are the boleros. Why? Because they're romantic and soothing. They're like a beautiful sunset, they touch your heart. One of my favorite artist is Luis Miguel. He released a box set of cds which includes songs from Romance, Segunda Romance and Romances. I saw him, in concert at the Orlando Arena. The concert was everything I could have hoped for and more. He released a new latin pop cd in the Fall of 1999 and is currently on tour.I plan to enjoy that wonderful voice in concert again in 2000 right here in my hometown in March. Let's hope (fingers and toes crossed) that he doesn't cancel his performance here. I enjoy all types of music from traditonal spanish music to alternative jazz. A friend asked recently, he and I share similar taste in music to a point, who I thought might be this year's contender for our You Can Move a Crowd like the late great Marvin Gaye award. After finally seeing him in concert I could say beyond a shadow of a doubt my choice was Maxwell. He can get a crowd on it's feet and totally involved in every word that comes out of his mouth. I haven't seen that many women in one place since I saw footage of that sale they have on bridal gowns at Filene's in Boston on the news. Men were few and far between and when he sang love songs they might as well have been at home for the attention their ladies were paying them. All eyes were on the stage and the fine brother singing the songs. I hope to add other links to examples of other musical artists (like Maxwell) who's work I enjoy. I also enjoy reading.I don't have any book to recommend but rest assured as soon as I do I'll pass them along. I told you a little bit about my family when I first moved in. I was finally able to convince my daughters to make an appearance. They attended a banquet with me and I'm including a photo taken at the banquet. Check us out we are DEFINITELY all that and a bag of chips. I would also love for you to meet Vincent and Nikita my Jack Russell Terriers. Just click on the links to their homepages and be prepare to go ahhhhhhh. Vinnie's a bit of an egotist, but he's so cute we forgive him. Nikki is adorable and I wish you could see her run, she's fast as the wind. I'm learning more and more about the breed and the more I learn the more I love these great little dogs. They're not for everyone but they're perfect for me. I'm still learning more about homepage construction and thanks to a few of my neighbors here in Heartland Hills (and my daughter) I'm getting better each day. I hope to continue to improve and make this a site you visit again and again. So plan to come visit often. Several, ok a couple, of people have asked why no pictures on my homepage. I just haven't found the right one but I do plan to add one or two very soon. However if your curiousity has gotten the better of you I did find one to add to the page I've dedicated to my job as well as several taken at that banquet I mentioned. Soooo, you have a choice you can wait and see or click the link below and see right now. See you soon, ciao.
One more thing, if you're a parent forego that expensive video game and get your child a book instead.
