Many years ago, people had become very wicked and it made God sorry He had created them, so He decided that He would destroy everything and start over.

There was one man that was good though. His name was Noah. God chose to save him and his wife and their three sons and their wives.

God told Noah of His plan and instructed him to build an ark. God told Noah exactly how it was to be designed, with cypress wood which was then called gopher wood. He told him the exact size to build it and how to put tar on it so it wouldn't leak. It had to have three stories, with a door and a window in the side. It had to have room for Noah and his family and two of every kind of creature on Earth because God was going to cause it to rain for forty days and forty nights and anything that wasn't in the ark would be destroyed.
