Come have a look at my homepage.

My home state is Arkansas.

In school I am studying many things. One of these is Tennessee. Besides being the home state of my cousins, Tennessee was the birth place of many of my ancestors. Here are some of the things I have learned about Tennessee:

According to the Tennessee Constitution, "there shall be a seal of this state, which shall be kept by the governor, and used by him officially, ans shall be called 'the Great Seal of the State of Tennessee'."

The offical state agricultural insect is the honey bee. It was designated by public chapter 725 of the Acts of 1990. The honey bee is a social, honey producing insect that plays a role in the production of all crops. It is also popular for its production of beeswax and honey.

The mockingbird was selected on April 11, 1933 as the official state bird. The mockingbird is ashen gray in color with darker white edged wings and whitish underparts. It has a melodious song of its own but is noted for the ability to mimic the songs of other birds.

There are around 170 types of iris in North America. The purple iris is considered to be the state flower, although the act namiing it did not specify a particular color. It grows abundantly across Tennessee and is often referred to as the Tennessee iris.

The ladybeetle, more commonly known as the ladybug, is brightly colored, round and has four black spots on its back. Ladybugs are used by farmers to control insect pests. In folk medicine they were used to cure various diseases.

The Tennessee Two Hundred emblem as designed as the official symbol of the 200th birthday of the State of Tennessee. It pictures the State's Capitol and the number 200 in honor of the two hundred years of statehood. 1996 was Tennessee's 200th birthday.

The Earth

by Robyn

The Earth is all living things put together to make the Earth. Earth is everthing and everybody. Hey! Are you listening? I'm talking to you. There are trees, homes, oceans, farms, and animals.

Canada and Mexico are our neighbors. I live in North America. It is a great place. My family is great. My sister is Andrea. My mom is Connie. My dad is James. I am Robyn. I'm the smallest.
