First of all, CH Pashes Beau Didley ROM was bred and owned by Sheila Meyers and Patsy Stokes (Pashes Maltese) of Rockwall, Texas. Our connection with the dog is that our very first champion here at Divine Maltese is our own "Didley" daughter, CH Rhapsody's White Pepper. Didley is truly one of those "once in a lifetime" dogs that every breeder hopes to have come into their lives and his untimely passing recently (February 1997) leaves us with a great sense of loss. Not only was Didley one of our closest friends' favorite Maltese, but he was still quite early, from our standpoint, in the process of "carving out a legacy" to the Maltese Breed in the form of his many, and extraordinary, "children" - such a legacy as is seldom, if ever, paralleled in this, or any other, breed. We'll certainly miss you, "Didley", and we know you are waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for Sheila and Patsy to join you. We only hope to be able to visit with you again, ourselves, one day.
