"From one human being (Adam) He (God) created all races of people and made them live throughout the whole earth. He Himself fixed beforehand the exact times and the limits of of the places where they would live. He did this so that they would look for Him, and perhaps find Him as they felt around for Him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us; as someone said, 'In Him we live and move and exist.' It is as some of your poets have said, 'We too are His children.' " Acts 17:26-28
John 3:16 "For God so loved that world that He sent His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Believing in Christ and trusting in Him in every aspect of our lives allows us to receive the gift of eternal life. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is crucial in your walk with Him. Praying from your heart and letting Jesus know that you are willing to abide in Him is *the* most important step that you can make in your life.
Jesus wants us to come to Him with "child like" faith. If we do, this will be evident in our lives. The Bible says "When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand-new person inside. He is not the same any more. A new life has begun." - II Corinthians 5:17
From that point, we begin to "grow" in Christ. We confess our sins (tell God what we have done that is disobediant to His plan for us)through prayer and the ministry of the Priesthood in the Sacrament of Reconiliation. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - I John 1:9
The Bible, God's inspired Word, assures us that "God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in His grace until His task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns." Phillippians 1:6
