Jesus, give me an intellect, a great intellect, for this only, that I may understand You better;
because the better I get to know You, the more ardently will I love You.
Jesus, I ask You for a powerful intellect, that I may understand divine and lofty matters.
Jesus, give me a keen intellect with which I will get to know
Your Divine Essence and your indwelling, Triune life.

Eternal Father, all hearts are in Your hands. We beseech You in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
and by the power of His Precious Blood, have mercy on all sinners and convert them to Your love and service.
We Pray especially for those whose faith has grown weak and who lack the courage to make a wholehearted return to the Church. Grant them the grace of repentence and the strength to return to the practice of their faith. May the Precious Blood not be shed in vain for any of our brothers and sisters. Amen.

Dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked You for many favours but I plead for this one.
Place it in Your open broken Heart, and when the Father sees it,
cover it with the mantle of Your most Precious Blood.
He cannot refuse it, for then it is Your prayer, not mine. Amen.

Eternal Mom, I want from the depths of my being, for You to come to my heart.
Enter; I give You permission to act in my life, from today, and for all eternity.

Oh Holy Angel at my side, go to the Church for me,
Kneel at my place at Holy Mass where I desire to be.
At Offertory in my stead, take all I am & own
and place it as a sacrifice upon the Altar Throne.
At Holy Consecration's Bell adore with Seraph's Love
My Jesus hidden in the host, come down from Heaven above.
I pray for those I dearly love & those who cause me grief
That Jesus Blood may cleanse all hearts & suffering souls relieve.
And when the Priest, Communion takes, oh bring my Lord to me
That His Sweet Heart may rest on mine & I His Temple be.
I pray this sacrifice Divine may mankind's sins efface
And bring me Jesus Blessing home, the pledge of every grace. Amen

Eternal and merciful Father, may my prayers, works, studies, joys, and sufferings help to restore all things in Christ. Alive with His Spirit and Yours I offer them with the Eucharistic Sacrifice for the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, especially the sanctification and salvation of every person and the reunion of Christians. I include also the intentions of all Apostles of Prayer, our bishops, and our Holy Father, and in particular.... (the intention recommended for this month).

Before we go to rest, we ask You Almighty God, to remember those whose rest will be distrubed during the night. We pray for those who cannot sleep, and for those who can never lay down the weary burden of pain. Where there is restlessness, give repose, Lord; where there is pain, give relief; and where there is suffering, give renewed hope. We pray too for those who will be awake, watching over those who are ill: the nurses, the doctors who are called to urgent cases in the night. We pray for those who watch over their loved ones as they near the end of their earthly journey. We ask You, heavenly Father, to give them courage and strength. May all the weary and the sick find their rest in You this night. This we ask through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan
and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

God our Father, in Your care and wisdom You extend the kingdom of Christ to embrace the world and give redemption to all. May the Church reveal for us the mystery of Your love and may that love become effective in our lives. Father, source of unity and love, make Your faithful people one in heart and mind that Your Church may live in harmony, be steadfast in its profession of faith and secure in unity. May it always be Your holy people, united as You are with the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

God our Father, shepherd and guide, look with love on Pope John Paul II,
Your servant, the pastor of Your Church.
May his word and example inspire and guide the Church,
and may he, and all those entrusted to his care, come to the joy of everlasting life.
Grant this through Christ Your Son. Amen.

God, eternal Shepherd, You tend Your Church in many ways and rule us with love.
Help Your chosen servant, Bishop John Michael Sherlock,
chief pastor of Your Church in this diocese, so that he may guide his people with love.
Help him to be a faithful teacher, a wise administrator and a holy priest.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we join together with Jesus in prayer for our priests.
You have called them from among us to offer the Holy Sacrifice and to proclaim the Good News.
We praise and thank You for showing Your goodness through the work of their hands and hearts.

With faith and confidence we ask that You make our priests fervent in prayer as they lead Your people.
Help them to become more Christlike day by day, in their service to the Church.
Give them a new heart and a new spirit, a spirit of compassion and self-sacrifice
that they may give witness to Your love for Your people. This we ask in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Our Lady of the Precious Blood, watch over the living chalices of the Blood of Jesus.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.
And my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.
Because He has looked upon His lowly handmaid:
Yes, from this day all generations will call me blessed,
for He that is mighty has done great things for me.
Holy is His name, and His mercy reaches from age to age for those that fear Him.
He has shown the power of His arm, He has scattered the proud of heart.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones and has exalted the lowly.
The hungry He has filled with good things; the rich He has sent empty away.
He has come to the help of Israel His servant; mindful of His mercy.
- according to the promise He made to our ancestors -
to Abraham and to his descendants forever. (Luke 1: 46-55)

Out of the depths I call to You O Lord;
Lord hear my voice. Listen attentively to my supplication.
If You never overlook our sin, O Lord, who could survive?
But with You there is forgiveness: and for that we revere You.
I trust in the Lord, my soul relies on His word.
My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the dawn.
Let Israel wait on the Lord as much as watchmen on the dawn.
For with the Lord there is mercy and plentiful redemption;
it is He who redeems Israel from all their sins. (Psalm 130)
