Calling all Students and Staff of St. Ann's High School, Marredpally,Secunderabad, India, both former & Current!
Here's a chance to renew old friendships and aquaintances! To take a nostalgic trip down Memory Lane... Remember our Grand Sports Days and feverish Inter House competitions, especially Debates & Dramatics! And our absolutely splendid Centenary Celebrations, Teacher's Day, the exciting fetes, camps & excursions, Girl Guides & Bulbuls! Our beautiful parlour, filled with all enchanting things! Piano lessons & Trinity College exams! And The Disciplinarians, especially Miss Gilbert!!! Remember how fiercely we defended our Houses! I even went as far as making my kids Shilpa Joanna & Divya Naomi Wilson join the House of Shamrocks! Both of them studied there throughout - till we came to Auckland, New Zealand. I can say with pride that the school functions held here can in no way compare with those we had in St.Ann's!
I owe St.Ann's My Forever Friends: Meera, Gautami, Susheela, Shaili & Kavita! Besides other things!
When I (Sunila Oommen) joined this school, Sr. Adriana was the Principal and both SSC & ISC were under one banner. I was in Class 9 when this changed and Sr.Elisabetta was our first Princi & Sushma Vijayakar our first Head Girl.
Some of our teachers were Miss Muire, Miss Samad, Mrs. Gardiner, Mrs.Fredericks, Mrs.Baria, Mrs. Singh, Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Trivedi, Mrs. Rao & Miss O. D'mello. And Sr. Maria Goretti, our Needle-work teacher! Those were the days of the NCC & the Famous Bus Whistle!
