Lauren
had a dress-up tea party for her 9th birthday. This beautiful cake
was made by a friend from church. She had a great time with her
friends, and especially Katherine. |

While
we don't usually celebrate Halloween around here, this year it seemed to
be harder to avoid. School and neighborhood kids were a major
influence. A.J. and Lauren decided they would do "Trick - or -
treat for UNICEF" as a cowgirl and Darth Vader. |
Katherine
was a baby dinosaur. She wore Lauren's costume from when Lauren was
1 year old. Lauren was a tiny little baby compared to Katherine!
David stayed home and passed out
candy to visitors. |

In late October, on a beautiful Fall
day, Lauren and AJ accompanied our homeschool group on a field trip to a
Renaissance Fair in Charlotte. There were sword fighters (left),
sword swallowers, sword makers, sword sellers, sword buyers (AJ),
Shakespearean prose, even a jousting tournament. We had a great
time! For David, it was the end of a long study of the Middle Ages
and Renaissance. David was camera shy (again) so he didn't get in
the photo. But he enjoyed it all. |
Here
is a photo from Katherine's Baptism in early November. We went home
to St. Francis for the occasion. She was an angel for the whole
service! (You can click the photo to enlarge it.)

We
ended November with our annual trek to Myrtle Beach for
Thanksgiving. Here we are with Greta's mom and dad, all the kids,
and our nephews Stephan and Noah. (Click to enlarge)
