His mother was Mary Ellen Newton born in Bradford. His father was John McGrath born in Bradford in 1870.

Thanks to my cousin, Pat McGrath, we have maintained contact with our cousins in England. There have been visits in both directions and many of us share an interest in the family history. It was Pat McGrath who compiled the comprehensive family tree that I have included in my surnames list. Now that Pat is online she will be able to maintain this page much better than I would.
