Hello everyone! This is me... Wild_Spanish_Eye's. I currently live
in Puerto Rico with my loving husband, Otis.
He
and I have been married since February 1987. That same year our son
Victor was born.
He is now officially a TEENAGER! This is an old photo of him when he was
my little "Aladin" in a school special.
He enjoys music and working with his father in Production.
Here
he is when he was a baseball player. He is a die-hard fan of the wwf.
Here
he is with Road DDog which he was able to meet recently. My son has
also been skydyving...(indoors lol)
And last but not least here is
a photo of him NOW and in the future....
why now? Cause the guy in the picture is a midgit but at the rate
my son is growing, he will look this way to us soon! He measured in recently
at 5'6 1/2'' and is wearing a size 12 shoe... and he's ONLY 13.
Well not long after he came to
us, our daughter Nishira was born in 1989.
Here
she is dressed in her dance uniform which is something she loved to do.
But as many of you know, she was born with Hemoglobinopathy SC disease,
a form of Sickle Cell which has caused a necrosis of her left hip femor.
We are still unsure as to what will happen with her but we will know this
May. I will keep you informed of what happens. If you want
to learn more about her disease you can click on the link below to learn
more or donate to a sickle cell foundation nearest you for a cure of this
disease. Dispite her illness, she has maintained a great grade point
average. And she was Valentine's day Queen of her class last year.
She had to attend the event using
her crutches but her dad was there all the time to help her out.
Arent you glad she doesnt look like dad? LOL. The love that they have is
a very special one between father and daughter. Kind of like the
one my son and I have... ohhh don't get me wrong, we love BOTH our
children very very much!
Here is my daughter with a good
friend of hers who has always shown her support that only a best friend
can give.
They
ALWAYS have a blast when they get together, be it here, at school
or on the net.
Here is a special photo of my kids together with their then 100 yr. old great-grandfather who this year will be 102.
He
is still alive and still has his memory in tact. From what I've been told,
my great grandmother passed away when she was 113 so who knows... perhaps
I'll see the next millenium?
Here
is a picture of my nephew who has grown up with my kids,
Here is a picture of my sisters Brenda and Sandra.
My sister Sandra,
is our Special Olympics Gold Medalist. Although she has her disabilities,
she has done MORE in her life than I will dream of like skiing in the winter
olympics and winning several gold medals during swim meets. My sister Brenda has a voice that would make you stop and listen! She sings with her church choir and loves helping others. She currently works for Sprint.
Here is a picture of my older brother
David,
He
is retired from the Navy and lives in Virginia now with his girlfriend
Kathy. When will he pop the question?? We're all still waiting! lol.
Here is a picture of my mother,
who has always been there for us no matter what. She dedicated
her life to raising us kids.
She and my father,
have been married now for 38 years. My dad is a Ret. Major of the
Air Force and also retired from the G.A.O (general accounting office) In
Washington DC.
Well now you know a little more
about my family and I. If you want more information on my daughter's
disease click below to go to a sight full of information.
If you want to just send her a
note of encouragement with her possible upcoming surgery to correct her
necrosis of the hip you can do that also by signing her guestbook below.
But most of all if you want to help find a cure for her disease,
send a small donation to your local Sickle Cell Foundation or to the March
of Dimes.
Thanks for your concern, and will
keep you updated on how she's doing.
