Jane Stickle was a Vermonter of the Civil War era.  When her husband went away to the War she designed and quilted a beautiful quilt out of scraps. It consists of 225 blocks and triangles.  I found the book by Brenda Papadakis which describes and shows in picture form this amazing quilt. She calls it Dear Jane. You can read more about this on her website http://www.dearjane.com. As a former Vermonter I've been able to combine my love of history and quilting into a fascinating hobby.

Sharon Mastbrook has designed a very clever virtual design wall which
allows me to share with you the progress of my "baby Jane Quilt" (a quilt that has grown out of Brenda's book of Janes' blocks).
