This Website is dedicated to Henry and Lavinia Moses, their descendants and ancestors. (Should we ever find them!) There are several accountings about the early life of Henry Moses. For a long time, many Moses' researchers were sure that Henry was born in England, came to America while still a young man, married Lavinia in Missouri and settled in Central Texas. As hard as everyone could look, the only real documentation is when Henry and Lavinia appeared in the 1850 Texas Census in Burleson County. There are those that believe he came from England by way of North Carolina or that he was born in North Carolina, but nothing has been proven. Hopefully, we can find the real story on Henry Moses' origin and locate his ancestors.
