Well, I guess I should tell you a little more about myself before I continue. As u have already read, I like horses and music. I am 17y/o and have who I believe is one of the sweetest guys in world as a boyfriend. ANYWAYS! I live in Northern Jersey ("Ummm, Some remote town in this address--NJ, USA, The Western Hemisphere, the Earth, the Solar System, the Universe, The Mind Of God"- Me-AOL Personal Profile) and am a part of the class of 2000 . . . YEA BABY! I'm in the high school choir, and and in the flute section for band . . . the lone concert piccolo player. This town is really boring because there's nothing to do here. But that's ok, I'm not around that much anyway. Let me explain why.

I show (or did show) horses. In 1996, I traveled on the NJ Quarter Horse circuts, competing in Mullica Hills, Freehold, and Sussex. At that time, I showed western, in western pleasure, western horsemanship, and showmanship. I currently ride english and jump about 3 foot 6 inches. I ride and compete in Hunter Paces and have been in a Horse Trial (a mini three day event-like what they have in the Olympics). I got 5th out of 8--thats good. In 1996, I recieved a 3rd place in Western Pleasure 14-18, 6th in Western Horsemanship 14-18, and 6th in Showmanship 14-18 for NJQHA year end awards. In 1997, I was the Non-regsitered Champion for the NJ Pony Breeders' Assoc. At htis point in time, I am not doing any riding . . . but there's a reason for that. It has to do with school band. the Hawthorne Caballeros, and winter guard.

I am part of the Hawthorne Caballeros, a senior drum and bugle corps. So far, they have racked up 8 DCA Championship, 5 undefeated seasons, 11 Legion Championships, and 15 National Championships. In 1995, they scored the highest score DCA has ever known . . . until this year. The 97.7 score was bettered by 0.2 by the DCA Champions for 1998- Empire Statesmen. We placed third overall. This year, 1999, our show theme is the music from The Mark of Zorro. So far, the corps is picked to be placed 3rd at DCAs in the Drum Corps World readers polls . . . but we'll just have to see what happens. If you wish to find out for yourself, feel free to drop into Allentown, PA on Labor Day weekend for championships.
