The things most important about Great-Grandfather Elias, was his love for the bees and bible. He had a deep interest in both. While he studied the bees and tenderly cared for them, I've been studying Elias' profile as I learn the hertiage about the past. He'd learned to read himself while studying the bible, and it became his favorite pass time besides, after he sit down from his hard work farming. For those that have not read the final book written by his beloved daughter Rose, you can send a letter to ME and I'll call on Jackie, her daughter. About Grandmother Cathrine, the lady of the house. The backbone of the family in all reality. Grandfather Elias was a man of his own Community, working hard, tending to the family, along with the house and on the large farm, Grandmother Cathrine was the backbone.( more about her later.)
This is the late Robert& Fanny "Cook" Honaker. Robert is Elias's brother, and since they were very close, they remained in Honaker together, till death. I think they both died at the age 75.
Mary, Ruth, Frannie. Frances is dark complected like her grandfather. They look so young here, its hard to believe our favorite ladies are now gone to the other side. Someday, we'll all meet again, i'm sure of that. Its possible the Honakers decended from the Melumgeon folks. I'm deeply into the study now. They're people that, once here, mixed race with many nationalities. I'll go ahead and place this information online and let the reader decide for themselves. In my opinion, indeed. There is too much similarities. The new page is born of pretty Charity's

A Melungeon (during the formative period from about 1700 to 1860) was someone who was free but thought not to be pure White in the area where the word was used - northern North Carolina, southern and western Virginia, eastern Tennessee, eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia, southern Ohio, western Louisiana, the eastern edge of Texas, the panhandle of Florida, and northern Alabama. The person might actually be White, but of a darker strain like a Greek or Portuguese. The person might be mixed White and Black, White and Indian or all three. The White might be northern European or Mediterranean or both. A few people may have been of other races, such as South Asian (Tzigane, Asian Indian, etc.) Read for yourself, the whole story behind the group of people. MELUNGEONS
