Labrador Retrievers
Welcome to Rholayo Kennels. My aims as a breeder of the Labrador Retriever are to produce obedient, birdy, intelligent workers, that conform to the breed standard.
All my breeding stock have OVC (Ontario Veterinary College) certified hips, annual eye checks performed by an ACVO (American College of Veterinary Opthamologists) Diplomate, and I have just started x-raying (OVC) for elbow dysplasia also. My future litters will also be checked for retinal folds/dysplasia between 6-7 weeks before they leave for their new homes. All the ancestors of my dogs for several generations back have hip and eye clearances as well.
I am active in Working Certificate Tests, CKC Hunt Tests, Obedience Trials and Conformation Shows. I regularily instruct novice obedience classes for the Victoria County Kennel Club, and I have also had the privelege of judging at a couple of obedience correction matches, and a Sanctioned Conformation Match.
Rholayo is located in Sunderland, Ontario, Canada, a small town which is about a one and one half hours drive Northeast of Toronto.
