I GET MY LETTER TO THE EDITOR PUBLISHED
IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER
There was an article in the paper written by a woman from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that was very hostile toward a charitable program that promotes hunting among handicapped youth. Bass Pro Shops (my employer) and several other companies sponsor the organization. She said that handicapped children have enough problems without being taught to murder Bambi. I think that this is an uninformed and dangerous viewpoint. I believe our society is so far removed from the basics of survival that some people have begun to put animals on the same level as human beings.
