CH WHINGATE LITTLE DANDY
w. 12.9.1989
Sire:  Ch Palfrey Oliver Twist
Dam:  Ch Ancrownes Biddy
What a great little showman Dandy was in his days in the showring.
His beautiful golden tan furnishings were admired by all and his silky coat always shone brilliantly.
His achievements included
Best of Breed, Adelaide Royal Show
Challenge Dog and Runner up Best of Breed, Melbourne Royal Show
Best in Group and many Class in Group Awards.
Dandy was retired from the showring
at 4 years of age with 430 challenge points,
taking Open in Group at his final show
.
Weighing in at 4 lb., Dandy is an irrepressible mischievious bundle of energy.  Everything in life is a challenge to him, as can be seen from the stand-off he is accomplishing with these Aberdeen Angus
cattle at our back fence.
Nothing has changed since those early days, and now, at 13 years of age, not only does he challenge our horse Toga at the back fence, but he has sired 3 litters of puppies in recent times.
Here he is with son Ben recently

We were indeed fortunate to have Dandy when we  commenced our involvement with
Yorkshire Terriers
.
Not only is he a great ambassador for the breed, but he has passed on his virtues to his offspring.
Dandy is also a
CARING CANINE COMPANION
and has been visiting his friends at Resthaven, Westbourne Park and
Masonic Lodge, Somerton
for a number of years.
Dandy is the sire of 1 Grand Champion and of 4 Australian Champions, grandsire to 2 Australian Champions and 1 Grand Champion, and great grandsire to one Champion.
