NATURAL SKIN CARE PRODUCTS HANDCRAFTED IN COAL RUN, OHIO, A FORMER MINING TOWN IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS.

All natural skin care, the only skin care available 100 years ago, has returned by necessity to our times. So many of us are plagued with contact dermatitis, eczema, dry skin, and unknown skin maladies. And, sadly, most of these conditions are caused by the synthetic laden soaps, detergents, cosmetics, and skin preparations of our day. Try a bar of handmade all natural soap and you'll never want to go back! Appalachian Heritage Soaps & Sundries offers beautiful, skin-nourishing soaps, old-time herbal salves, moisturizing solid lotions, and skin-softening milk baths. Each product is 100% natural, no synthetics, no artificial preservatives. Besides being better for your skin, each Appalachian Heritage product is so much more . . .

There is an untapped richness here in the foothills and mountains of Appalachia. It's the wealth we find in our past, our families, our traditions, and in the nature that surrounds us. My own ancestors knew the wild plants and trees and their uses sometimes better than they knew their alphabet. Many of us are on a journey to rediscover this old knowledge. And now I pass this knowledge on to you through each of  my products. Each offering is carefully designed to commemorate the history and culture of this region. Native plants, folk remedies, and oral accounts are the inspiration behind each bar of soap, salve, and lotion. Not only are the products strictly all natural, but something deeper is offered, something richer. A product that, by its use and enjoyment, passes on a bit of the hardy people of Appalachia and the wisdom of their ways.
