Elijah Myers ROBERTS and Mary Ann McCANDLES, son: James Martin ROBERTS b. 1859 No. Alabama, m. Margaret Melinda SHAW b. 1861 Tusca oosa, Alabama (her parents: Joseph SHAW and Margaret DAVIDSON). James and Mary Ann had 10 children: Sarah Louvenia, Elijah Hodges, James Douglas, Helen Ida (who wrote a history of Lampasas County, TX), Mary Ann, Martin Ira, Dulcey Estell (my paternal gra dmother), Virgil Randolph, and Chester Urban. First 5 born in AL between 1881 and 1888, next 5 born in TX between 1891 and 1903. I thought there might be some connection way back with Elijah Myers ROBERTS-I have no info on him except that he is my James Martin's father. Thanks for checking! Lynda Boyd |
