Lauren loved life and lived every day to the fullest. She was a typical 14 year old in most of her tastes. She loved Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, NSync, Jewel, movies, parties, competition, and people. She was involved in volleyball, basketball, baseball, stats, student council, PANDA,pa announcers, chorus, drama, mural committee and solo/ensemble at the West Geauga Middle School in just the past year. What made her atypical was her kindness and wonderful sense of humor and spirit. Hundreds of letters and posters were displayed in the Middle School she attended, and each spoke of how Lauren made them feel special or important because she was always so kind and funny, a good listener and party organizer! She always smiled and took the time to say hello and she genuinely cared about others. She was a 4.0 student, popular, pretty, and athletic; always the one to lift your spirits when the team got behind. She loved clothes and make-up but she loved animals most. She raised rabbits in 4-H, rode horses, kept her own fishtank and loved her pony Duchess. Woody, our lab mix, was her constant companion and soulmate and is not the same without her. He slept near her every night and followed her every move.

Lauren was a sensible, loving, funny, hard working kid and we miss her terribly. Our lives are forever changed from loving her, and from loosing her. We have created this page to remember and to celebrate her short but powerful life.We will continue to add to this page and welcome your messages in the guestbook. We have established a memorial garden at the West Geauga Middle School and had a dedication for the garden on Lauren's 15th birthday, September 15,1999. All of her classmates and friends were given the opportunity to plant flowering bulbs on that day. A scholorship fund at Bank One, Cleveland has been established in her memory. We can best remember Lauren by sharing our memories and by keeping her in our hearts and minds.

"If you speak my name, I live."
