Kettering Civic Band

The band began in 1959, as a twelve-member Fairmont Presbyterian Church band with Paul Shartle as director, and as membership increased it evolved into The Kettering Civic Band.  The Band originated the "Concert on The Green" performance series in Kettering, which has been succeeded by the programming of the city-operated Fraze Pavilion.  The current director is David Keener.
