3. Joseph Larkin Rogers, born August 19, 1794 in Tennessee; died July 1, 1878
  married to: Hannah Holland Rogers, born January 4, 1799; died February 2, 1892
    Family tradition says that "Larkin" Rogers moved from Tennessee to Alabama, then settled in Plantersville, Itawamba County (now in Lee County), Mississippi in the early 1800's when the Chickasaw Indians left.
     Family tradition also says that he served in the War of 1812 with General Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans, where he was one of the few American soldiers wounded. Because the treaty with Great Britain was officially signed before the Battle of New Orleans took place, he was unsuccessful in his attempts to get a government pension.

Joseph Larkin Rogers and Hannah Holland Rogers were parents of:

  married to: Bettie Thomas Moorman Rogers.
     Family tradition says that Robert Henderson Rogers, nicknamed "Cussin' Bob" Rogers, was a Confederate veteran of the Civil War. He had a Yankee bullet pass through his hat, and often delighted in showing the hat to his descendants and saying, "We came that close to having no more Rogers."
     Family tradition says that he became the first Baptist in his family. One day he threw his whiskey bottle into the bushes and joined the Baptist church. Family tradition says that his mother also was baptized, being lowered into the water in her wheelchair. She reportedly said, "If it's good enough for Bob, it's good enough for me."

  married to Willie Rachel Grant Rogers, born November 1, 1880 in Shannon, Misssissippi; died May 11, 1963; Union Cemetery, Plantersville, Mississippi
     Achilles Rogers was a farmer, served in the Army (discharged 1898 just before the Spanish-American War), and postmaster at Plantersville. He was murdered while taking the mail to the railroad; apparently his attacker thought that he had money with the mail. After his death, his wife Willie ran the Plantersville post office for many years.
     Achilles Rogers had a brother named Robert Holland Rogers (after their father Robert Henderson Rogers). However, since Robert Holland had a daughter, Mary, but no sons, Achilles named continued the family tradition of naming sons "Robert" and added to it the tradition of giving his mother's maiden name as a middle name.

  married April 5, 1930 in Booneville, Prestiss County, Mississippi, to Hattie Sybil Houck Rogers, born October 27, 1905 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; died November 28, 1983; Plantesville Cemetery.

Robert Grant Rogers and Hattie Sybil Houck Rogers were parents of:
7. Willie Elizabeth Rogers Bilbo, born June 6, 1932 in Plantersville, Lee County, Mississippi;    married June 22, 1954 in Biloxi, Harrison County, Mississippi to Hulon Harold Bilbo, born January 6, 1932 in Baxterville, Lamar County, Mississippi, and

7. Robert Houck Rogers, born June 2, 1935 in Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi
married June 10, 1956 in the Oak Grove Community, Hattiesburg, Lamar County, Mississippi to Martha Joyce Clinton Rogers, born July 1, 1935 in Foxworth, Marion County, Mississippi.

Willie Elizabeth Rogers Bilbo and Hulon Harold Bilbo are the parents of:
8. James Harold Bilbo, born July 14, 1956, married Dececember 26, 1981 to Julia Gregg Wallace Bilbo born May 8, 1959, and James Harold Bilbo married on March 15, 1994 to Clara Elizabeth Allison Bilbo.
8. Linda Ann Bilbo Alford, born Nov. 6, 1957, married June 10, 1978 to Arthur Nathan "Sonny" Alford, Jr. born Oct. 31, 1953.

James Harold Bilbo and Gregg Wallace are the parents of:
9. Andrew Wallace "Drew" Bilbo, born Oct. 24, 1983, and
9. Daniel Tyler Bilbo born April 1, 1986.

James Harold Bilbo and Clara Elizabeth Allison are the parents of:

Linda Ann Bilbo Alford and Arthur Nathan "Sonny" Alford, Jr. are the parents of:

  married December 27, 1980 in Lake, Scott County, Mississippi, to Mary Ellen Wade Rogers, born May 15, 1959 in Forest, Scott County, Mississippi, and
8. Todd Alan Rogers, born March 9, 1961 in Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi
  married March 21, 1987 to Kathy Ruth Joiner Rogers, and
8. Nancy Carole Rogers, born June 1, 1963 in Columbia, South Carolina.
