A note from Dr. Francis

For many years if a person wanted to receive more education in the Bible and related subjects, it was necessary to sell their belongings and uproot the family and go out of the state to be trained. With the founding of Akron Baptist Bible College that is no longer necessary. With classes in the morning hours as well as evening, anyone can fit courses into their work schedule.

In 1978 Akron Baptist Bible College was founded to fulfill a definite need in our area. There are several schools with classes held during the day, but nothing like our school for the person who must work to provide their means of living. This includes the married student with a family, and the recent high school graduate that has not the means to travel a great distance to attend a school to prepare them for use in the local church.

Our goal is to make education affordable and worthwhile to their lives. We are not a liberal arts school, but a school who trains people of all ages for meaningful participation in their local church as pastor, evangelist, missionary, youth minister, secretary or other worker. Akron Baptist Bible College will also be very helpful to the person who desires to be a lay worker (Bible teacher or etc.) in their church.

A GRADUATE OF THIS INSTITUTION WILL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A TEACHER IN A NON-TAX SUPPORTED CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.

Life Experience

Some life experience credit is available. It depends on the length of service and the type of experience. No more than 30 hours will be given on the undergraduate degree.
