I am trying to locate two cousins, the daughters of my father's older brother Roy (or Leroy) Rogers. I believe that they were born in San Francisco in the 20s or 30s. Leroy Rogers was born in Humboldt Co., California, probably in the very early years of
this century. He became estranged from his mother, Kate, his sister, Lorena, and the rest of the family for reasons unknown to me. Leroy died in the mid 1940s, probably in San Francisco. His parents were from the Azores.
I don't know the names of my cousins.

I am trying to locate the parents of James Mark Gossett. James Mark was born in 1880 in Alabama. The 1900 Marion County, Alabama census, taken only a few months after he married Willie Dove Pyron, shows that his father was born in Georgia and his mother
in Alabama. I have been told that his father's name is either Mart or Mort Gossett but I feel like this is either short for something else or just a nick name. Any help would be appreciated.

I am searching for a woman who would be in her sixties whose maiden name was Rose Ferree, I have reason to believe that this woman may be the birthmother of my adopted son, Michael who was born October 28,1958 in Lexington, Kentucky. Michael has asked me
o help him find his birthmother. I am the adoptive mother and feel it would help him psycholgically if he could find his birth mother. When you are adopted there is always that "hole in your Heart" that needs to be filled. These persons need to find roots
they need to know their medical genetic background. My daughter, also adopted, found her birth parents about six years ago and now she knows she must be completely vigilant in having check ups. Her birth mother died of breast cancer the day before my dau
hter found her.

My name is Kayla Jean Cawvey. I am looking for members of my father's family. My grandpa is my oldest realitive and he does not remember any further back than his father, and only a few stories about his grandfather. My grandfather's name is Cecil Gerald
awvey, he had three sons, Michael Gerald, Gary, and Richard Dale (my father). I know my great grandfather's name was C.K. Cawvey (Cecil King Cawvey). He (C.K.) was born September 16, 1899 and died in October of 1986. His father ran a blacksmith shop at th
turn of the century near the Arkansas-Missouri line. I can not trace any farther back because two of either C.K.'s father's brothers or his uncles, or something got in a fight because of sides taken during the Civil War and one left for Ill. and was neve
heard from since. Also C.K. and his father were reluctant to tell any information on the family.
Starting with C.K. Cawvey this is all I know of my family tree...
Cecil King Cawvey married Loni May Holloway they had six children...
Hedley Cawvey, Cecil Gerald Cawvey, Fern Cawvey, Chris Cawvey, Marshal Cawvey, and Rosela Cawvey. Hedley died as a five year old.
C. Gerald Cawvey married Laura Jean Bentley sometime in the late forties they had three children... Micheal, Gary, and Richard. He later married Mildred Bray.
Fern Cawvey married Toll Ray Duke and had two children... Ronald Ray Duke and Rhonda Duke.
Chris Cawvey married Bill Bowling and had four children... Tina Bowling, Kelly Bowling, Tracy Bowling and Terry Bowling.
Marshal Cawvey married Janet Bridgeman and had six children, Marsha Jan Cawvey, James La Von Cawvey, Timothy Craig Cawvey, Shelia Cawvey, Robin Cawvey, and Terri Cawvey. Rosela Cawvey married Carry Hammond and had three children... Dwayne Hammond, Billy D
an Hammond, and Gayle Lee Hammond.
Micheal Cawvey married Renee ? and had four children... Scott Cawvey, Stacy Cawvey, Michelle Cawvey, and Shawna Cawvey.
Gary Cawvey married Katy ? and had one daughter... Lori Cawvey.
Richard Cawvey married Pamela Ingram in November of 1977 they had two children... Kayla Jean Cawvey (17 years old) and Richard Carson Cawvey (16).
Scott Cawvey married Nita Lawance they have two children... Scotty Jr. Cawvey (4) and Ann Renee Cawvey (2).
Stacy Cawvey married Lisa ? and has two children... Cierra (she is adopted) and Micheal Gerald Cawvey II (new born).
Shawna Cawvey married Jeff Butler they had two children... Coltin Cawvey(4) and Cameron Cawvey(3).
Dawayne Hammond married Sharron ? and has two children... (they are her children) Mike Byrd, and John Bryd.
Timothy Craig Cawvey married Tammy ? they have one child... (it is her child but he adopted her) Tiffany Cawvey.
That is all I know, but I would like to be able to go back farther and find out my herithge. Oh, I forgot to tell you I live in West plains, Missouri and so do all of those I have mentioned in my family tree besides maybe three or four.

Ezra Covell came to Boston from London, England on the ship Abigail. They arrived in Boston in October, 1635. The ship passenger list spells his first name as "Cesora". He probably came in the comany of John and Anne Allen, possibly as an indentured serva
t. I can trace him to Woburn, MA as late as 1643 but he then dissappears until 1677 when he buys land at Edgartown next to James Covell giving rise to the possibility there were either brothers or related in some other way.
James Covell appeared at Edgartown in March, 1651. Where he came from or, how or when he arrived in America is unknown. I have found in the records of St. Dunstan's in the East, London that Robert Covell had several children baptised there in the early 16
0's. Among them were Ezra in 1617 and James in 1620. This makes the possibility they are the Ezra and James I am attempting to trace rather strong as does their ages at times of their deaths in 1696 and 1690 respectively.
Any information will be welcomed.

I'm pretty sure he came from elsewhere in NB, since there are groups of Mersereau's in the area,

Joseph B. Furrow, my greatgrandfather was born in South Dakota in 1828. He married Elizabeth A. Finton on June 21, 1852 in South Dakota. They had 5 children Sarah Jane, James Madison, and the three others I could not find. Most of this is from the Morm
n archives. I would like to know who his mother and father were and why they were in South Dakota at such an early time. Family tradition has hinted at a native American in the lineage and I feel it might have been Joseph's mother. Perhaps Sioux? Can
nyone with more experience at geneology help me? Would be willing to pay a little for whatever work needs to be done. I have a feeling Joseph's father might have been a trader or even a Mountain Man. Thanks for any help.

I am searching for ancestors of my great-grandfather, JAMES EDGAR CASEY. James was born in 1854, had one brother: Joseph Casey, and one sister: Ellen Casey. Ellen's married name was Gray, Grey (not sure).
James migrated to the United States with the help of his brother, Joseph, and sister, Ellen.
As it has been told down through the generations, my great-grandfather, James Edgar Casey, when a very young man got into a fight with a large man in a pub in Ireland. The larger man was winning the fight and as a last resort, my great-grandfather p
cked up a chair and hit the larger man. He feared he had killed him which would be an offense of the law that would require execution. His family hid him and raised enough money to get him passage on a ship for the the United States. I am not sure wher
in the U.S. that the ship landed.
It was later learned that the larger man that my grand-father had hit DID NOT DIE. Thank God.
I am most interested in learning as much about this line of my family as possible. Anyone who may have information about the three siblings that I have mentioned, I would appreciate their contacting me.
A bit about my great-grandfathers physical appearance is that he had dark auburn, thick hair.
Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing information of any relatives still living in Ireland.
Sincerely,
Patricia E. Molter

Then Solomon Monroe and family moved back to Franklinville, New York leaving the two older

Right after that Solmon was called back to Texas on account of the serious illiness of the older
girl. Solomon, Bettie and Anna Monroe were killed by indians. (According to my calucations it was in the summer of 1878. Margaret Jennette MacFarland Waller Monroe remarried James Murphy. The family moved to Little Falls, Minnesota September 17, 1878. Two

I am looking for information about John and Hover Hovelson who came to Dane County, Wisconsin, from Koldsrud, Norway, via the port at Quebec. They were young boys, the sons of Hovel and Martha Hovelson. They arrived in 1850. 12 yrs. later they went to
ankton, SD, and then one year later settled in Mitchell County, Iowa. John and Hover were married in a double ceremony to Jane Paulson and Sarah James, respectively. John and Jane were parents of my grandmother, Laura May Hovelson who married Herman F.
hipple. Herman's mother was Celian Farnum who was born in Wisconsin. I am hoping to hear from nyone with any knowledge of these families. Thanks so much!
