My grandmother's maiden name was Nealy. Her mother Mary Anna Hood (known as Anna) as I am told lived in the Columbus, Kansas area. Her father John Milton Hood and mother Sarah Winn Hood. Her mother had died and when her father knew he was dying found hu
bands for his three daughters. Gertrude married Charlie Evans and they later moved to California. Dora married a Mr. Jackson and they moved to Carthage, Missouri. My great-grandmother, Anna married a Mr. Nealy. I had always heard him referred to as Wi
liam or Willie. Great-grandmother's death certificate lists her as the widow of James Nealy. My grandmother's death certificate lists her father as George Nealy. I don't actually know his first name. I know that they were married in Kansas and my Aunt
Nita and Uncle Manferd were both born in Kansas. My grandmother was born in 1907 in Carthage, Missouri and her father had already abandoned the family before she was born. How would I find marriage or birth information for any of these individuals? Fro
information I find, those would not be available from the state for the dates before 1907. I am having a hard time making a link for the Nealy branch. He was said to have family in Webb City, Missouri. If anyone can give me some direction on this it w
uld be greatly appreciated. Sherry Quade

My great-grandfather came over from Germany around the 1880's. He was 16 or 17 yrs. old. I was always told that we had some ties to Kaiser "Bill" Wilhelm, just what, I don't know for sure. I was also told that our coat of arms was the Harpy. My great-g
andfather's name was George. I don't know what other family he had in Germany. My father didn't have much information for me, and he has since died, so there is nobody that I can ask questions of. I just want to know if I have any relatives here in the

My mother, Anna, came from Poland in 1939 with her sister Alena,
father, Konstante Budrewicza and mother Heleny Laskowsick. These
spellings may be incorrect, as I am reading from old hand written
documents. I know she lived in a town by the name of Widze, but
I can not find it on a map.She has rarely ever spoken of Poland,
and my grandparents died before I was born. I would very much like
to start collecting information, should there be any, on the town,
the people in it, and information on any relatives, should any still
be alive.
I know she had an uncle that was a General in the Polish Army
that shortly after the war began was captured and spent the war
in the German concentration camp of Dackow.
