Spofford Family:
If anyone is searching for "Spofford" family geneology information, I have a geneolgy book dated 1888 which may be helpful, and other information sent to me by a distant relative in upstate New York, which I will be happy to share.
John Spofford arrived from York, England to Rowley, Mass. in 1632. He and his wife founded Georgetown, Mass. in 1669, and had five sons. A stone still exists in Georgetown marking the spot where the race of "Spofford" was founded.
