LINDA'S FUNNIER
SIDE OF POETRY

"TWILIGHT BLISS"

WANDERING INTO TWILIGHT BLISS
HAND IN HAND
WONDERING SHOULD THEY KISS
A WAVE OF DOUBT
COMES IN A FLURRY
THINKING MAYBE
THERE IS NO HURRY
FOR IF THEY KISS
THEY BOTH KNOW
THAT DOWN THE ROAD
TO LOVE THEY'LL GO
COMMITTMENT, RELATIONSHIP
LOTS OF WORRY
BUT THEN AGAIN
IS THERE A HURRY
WORRY, WORRY, WORRY
NOW THE MOOD IS GONE.

"MIRROR IMAGE"

I'M SKINNY, I'M SKINNY
I KEPT YELLING THAT TO HER
SHE JUST KEPT LOOKING BACK
THINKING I'M A FOOL
WORK OUT EVERY MORNING
EATING A CRUMB OR TWO
HOW COULD I NOT BE SKINNY?
IS THE QUESTION I ASK OF YOU
BUT THEN I REALIZE
IT'S NOT REALLY A SURPRISE
THAT THERE IS NO ONE ELSE
HERE IN THIS ROOM
HEY BABE!
HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU.

"COLOR"

Color
it comes is many hues
some are earthy
with such warm feeling
others are cold
without revealing
So I guess the question
I ask of you!
Why did you Paint your house Puce?

"LAUGHING INSIDE MY HEAD"

I was surprised the other day
at something I had said
it sounded so much like you
made me laugh inside my head.
A smile creased across my face
remembering the good old days
and silently puzzled, how
I had learned your special ways.
So I guess I'll have to thank you
for teaching me to be
a little bit more tolerant, that you used to be.
Now Mom I have to tell you
all kidding aside
you are so very special to me
and I say the rest with pride
thank you for the suffering
that you had to bear
thank you for your love
and for all of your care
thank you for always
putting up with me
and mostly thank you mom
for just letting me be me.

Have a need for a funny
card for a sick friend.

Page one.

I heard you were sick
and flew into a panic

Page two

Boy, did that hurt.
GET WELL SOON!

ok so we can see my stab at greeting
card verse did not work out so well.
I thought it was really funny.

If you are making a card for family use please feel free to use my poems or verse. If you have a need for something special just write me and I will put on the thinking cap. The gift of poetry was given to me for free, the only cost was paid a long time ago, on a wooden tree.
