GOSPEL PLAN FOR SALVATION
How can I find joy and contentment? "Then Jesus said unto them... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:7, 10Who will have this abundant life? "God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." 1 John 5:11-12
Won't I be saved by keeping the Golden Rule and by doing good deeds? "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5
But I am not really bad; I don't consider myself to be a great sinner. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10
Maybe I sin once in awhile, but God won't turn me down if I only sin a little. "The wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23
It seems as if God is more interested in punishment than anything else. How do I know God cares for me at all? "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
**What must I do? "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and they house." Acts 16:31 If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.' Romans 10:9
Is that the only way? "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." John 14:6 "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12
Won't my good works have any importance? "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
For what purpose did Christ come? "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." 1 Timothy 1:15

Are sinners welcomed in heaven? "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." Luke 15:7
What are we to remember in connection with God's forgiveness of us? "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors... For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:12, 14-15
How does Jesus explain this? "For this my Son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost and is found." Luke 15:24
How are we assured of God's great power of redemption? "If the spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that hath raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you." Romans 8:11 "As Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father even so we also should walk in newness of life." Romans 6:4

How great is God's mercy? "As the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him." Psalms 103:11
I would like to be a Christian but I don't have time. I'm very busy with my job right now. "Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on... for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matthew 6:24-34
How does Jesus ask us to live? "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel The Lord our God is one Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with al thy strength, this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-31
How should we serve God? "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1
How did Jesus set an example? "Whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant; Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give His life a ransom for many." Matthew 20:27-28
What else must I do? "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:4-8
**What again is the first step? "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:31
