My Grandfather,my Mother's father.He was six feet three inches tall and had red hair and blue eyes.He was called "Ombra"(The shade).He had four daughters and one son.He came to the USA in 1907 on the "Germania" and again in 1913 on the "Sannio" were he worked for a few years on the railroad in Nebraska.He
then went home to Cassano where he lived until his death in 1950.

My Grandmother,my Mother's mother.Worked on the Massaro farm and bought land with Giuseppe's earnings from the USA.She lived her eighty two years in Cassano.She was four feet eleven inches tall and the boss(capo) of the family.
