Why a Heritage Trust?
Preservation is a Good Idea!

The Heritage Trust was established in 1992 as a nonprofit organization to preserve and restore our historic architectural heritage. To do so we must educate the citizens of our communities and make them aware of the need to preserve and restore our architectural history. It is our goal to provide strong incentives in the form of financial assistance that will encourage and help individuals in the preservation and restoration effort. We encourage all persons, regardless of the size of project or personal finances to apply.

EDUCATION
Educational outreach is a very important part of our activity. The Heritage Trust provides public seminars and lectures, plus written materials that serve as tools for learning about preservation and restoration. The Trust offers assistance for specific projects presented by individual residence owners or organizations whose purpose is to preserve historic sites, buildings, objects and antiquities of significance.

INCENTIVES
All contributions to the Heritage Trust are funneled back into the community. Contributions are used for loans and grants on a continuing basis for preservation and restoration projects. The Heritage Trust is interested in discussing any and all worthwhile projects at anytime throughout the year.

PROJECTS
The Heritage Trust offers not only financial assistance, but helps in determining other aspects of the project such as architectural and historical appropriateness to the particular structure. Residences and public buildings all qualify.
