Thomas SMITH is the first ancestor I have located. He was born abt. 1820 and died ?. He married Rebecca B. SMITH, born abt 1827, died ? in 1848 in Athens County, OH.

Children of Ezra and Mary Jane were:
- Hulda Ann SMITH born 1884 died 1956; married John WORK
- William SMITH born 1882 died ?. He never married.
- It is interesting to note that on the 1900 census it was indicated that Mary Jane CONE SMITH was the mother of 3 children with 3 still living???
- William SMITH born abt 1860
- John A. SMITH born abt 1863
