Our Background

We live in a house we built ourselves on the shores of beautiful Lake Glenmaggie in Gippsland in rural east Victoria.

I am a teacher who has been working as a Curriculum Consultant for the Department of Education and Training for the last few years. Since the beginning of 2003 I have returned to teaching at Rosedale Primary School in a Year 3/4 classroom. In 2006 I became Principal of the school. I have my own page with my life story and interests.

Daryll is a carpenter and fire fighter for the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

Brad is now twenty three and is currently working as an electrical instrument technician apprenticeship with APM since January 2004. He enjoys waterskiing, wakeboarding, bike riding and most outdoor things.

Melissa is twentyone and completed Year 12 at Gippsland Grammar School in 2004. She has recently completed a Bachelor of Animal and Vet Biosciences at La Trobe University. She enjoys socialising, netball, guitar and singing. Both children went to Heyfield Primary School.

  Our Interests

  As a family we enjoy water skiing in our boat on the lake.
  We enjoy holidays and travelling and have visited Canada and U.S.A. twice and New Zealand. We also love to travel within Australia having in recent years visited South Australia, Tasmania, Canberra, Western Australia and New South Wales.
  One of our favourite holiday destinations in Victoria is Yarrawonga on the Murray River where we spend every Easter with family and friends.

  

  

  Our Pets

  We have one horse, Captain who is a Shetland pony. Baron our Australian pony died of colic in 1999. Our two cats are Tara, who is a chinchilla and Lucky, her son, who is only half chinchilla. Our beautiful, but naughty, little Jack Russell puppy Ally was accidently run over in 2001 and has been replaced by another Jack Russell who we named Maggie. She seems to be quieter and better behaved than the others we have had. Melissa also has a bird aviary full of cockatiels, budgies and quails. She also has some very badly behaved roosters which were a biology lesson from school.
