Welcome to our homepage! We are an independent Baptist church located in southwest Georgia, just north of Albany. It is our desire to glorify the God of the Scriptures by promoting his worship in spirit and in truth, edifying his saints in the true knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and evangelizing the lost.
To this end, we are committed to proclaiming his glorious gospel of grace in Jesus Christ throughout the world by the proclamation of the whole counsel of God as revealed in the Old and New Testaments, and defending the "faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3; John 4:23; 2 Timothy 3:16,17)
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God, and the basis for our beliefs. As a confession of faith before the world, we adhere to the doctrinal statements of The London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. This time-tested document sets forth sound doctrine that leads to godly living, and gives a solid foundation for church doctrine, worship, and polity.
In keeping with the faith of our Baptist forefathers, we adhere to the following biblical formulas: Faith Alone, Grace Alone, Scripture Alone, Christ Alone, and Glory to God Alone. Any church that departs from these declarations of truth ceases to be properly balanced in faith and practice.
One of the distinctives of our church is a belief in the "doctrines of grace": total depravity, unconditional election, particular redemption, irresistible grace, and the perseverance of the saints. Simply stated, we believe that salvation is of the Lord, and He alone should receive all the glory!
