Swartz Creek, Michigan This is our Fourth year as a troop. We have 4th & 5th grade Juniors. We have three leaders: Michelle, Becky and Wendy. Starting this school year off, we went to Canada to the rivercrossing with several other troops in our neighborhood. It was a great day, we had so much fun. We palyed funny games on the bus ride there & back. We ate subway subs there. We traded swaps all day long and then we stopped at McDonalds to eat on our way home. It was a long day. But we will do it again next year!!!!! cake. We have made hats for the Chemo patients (kids). Each girl sewed at stylish hat on a sewing machine and by hand they were so cute. We made angles for the Families in New York for the Angel Project. We have been in two parades so far this year. We marched in our town's homecoming and also a Santa Day Parade. We made a really cool looking float for that parade. Each girl raised over $25 in pledges. We played games and had a lot of fun in the play scape. Our leaders raced us on the walking sticks.
In March, we went shopping at Wal-Mart to buy items to put in the Easter Basket for project Seek. We also decorated the Perkins Library. We made Shamrocks with the Girl Scout Law & Promise written in Irish. We made paper Girl Scouts in the American Uniforms. The other troop we did the board with did the opposite. This helped us complete our Count down to Thinking Day Patch for our Third year. In April, our troop made t-shirts at the T-shirt Workshop. May, we bridged from Brownies to Juniors. We had our bridging ceremony at a Putt Putt Golf Park. They had the perfect bridge.
