Growing concerns regarding documented narcotics trafficking displacement from metropolitan areas into small town/rural environs have necessitated the formation of a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force in eastern North Carolina. This task force is organized to provide resources, personnel, and equipment in a support mode to local law enforcement agencies who are unable to provide these services and equipment due to budget constraints and shortages of manpower. The ENCMJNTF is governed by a board of directors consisting of the various agency heads of the member agencies. Personnel work under a memorandum of understanding as a basis for a mutual aid agreement binding all member agencies. |
