Mrs. J.C.Wood died late Thursday evening Nov. 9th at her home near Zebulon after several months illness. Mrs. Wood was born in Spalding County March 1858, was a member of the Zebulon Methodist Church at the time of her death. She joined the Ebenezer Methodist Church early in life but moved her membership to Zebulon several years ago. She was very faithful to her church and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances.

Funeral service was held at Nazareth Bapt. Church at Weaver with Rev. G.H.Bailey officiating, interment was in the family cemetery. Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband Mr. John C. Wood, daughters Mrs.Geo.White of Sand Mtn. Alabama, Mrs. Warren Williamson of Williamson, Mrs. Troy Bush, Mrs. O.J. Cannafax and Mrs. Dewitt Allen of Zebulon. Two sons, J.P.Wood of Los Angeles Cal. R.S.Wood of Barnesville, three sisters, Mrs. John Bolton of Navada, Missouri. Mrs. J.H.Hall of Barnesville, and Mrs. Myra Key, one brother Mr. A.P.Waller of Dawson, Ga. and several grandchildren.
