We always enjoyed travel and our ultimate plan was to retire and travel
extensively. We purchased a truck and a fifth wheel to do just that in
1998. The day after Mary retired, our RV took us to New Mexico,
Illinois,
and many places in Texas. In the spring of 1999, we began a three and
a
half month journey totalling 12,500 miles to the Pacific Northwest.
Shortly
after getting back, we took off again and spent a short vacation in
Illinois
to visit with my brother and sister-in-law. In the summer of 2000, we spent two months in Europe visiting with Beth and her family in Germany. Besides Germany, we visited in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. We spent five weeks touring IL, MO, TN, and MS in Fall, 2000.

parents
went to Germany. We miss them so much!
